Okay, so Paul and I don't even technically HAVE a 6 month anniversary. We were married on August 30th, which means our 6 month anniversary would come on February 30th. Obviously a problem. So, we decided to go ahead and pretend it was our anniversary on March 2nd. However, we were pretty busy that day, so we didn't actually celebrate 'til the 3rd. It was really fun though! We went to Jack in the Box for lunch (classy, right?) and I ate curly fries to my heart's content. Then we went to D.I. and finally bought ourselves a VCR! We have a DVD player and most of our movies are DVD's, but some of my favorites we only have on VHS (like While You Were Sleeping, You've Got Mail, and Return to Me...classics!!). So we spent 10 dollars on a wonderfully-working VCR and then bought 10 movies at D.I.! The movies were only 2 bucks each, and there were lots of good ones like It's a Wonderful Life, Field of Dreams, and Back to the Future. It was a very exciting shopping spree! Then we came home so I could teach piano. After that, we went to dinner. Paul had received a gift certificate for 25 dollars at Canyon Crest, which we had saved for that night. We had never gone before, and it was WONDERFUL!! Lots of really good food and definitely the fanciest place I've ever eaten = wonderful. Then we came home and watched Return to Me. It was the perfect pretend anniversary!! I love you, Paul!
Aw, that's so sweet! :) Brandon and I did stuff like that too. We actually did a small anniversary (pretty much just a date night) for each month. So, it was like, today is our 3 month anniversary, or 8 month, etc. We had lots of fun! Isn't it crazy that you've been married 6 months now? We've been married for a year, and time sure flies! Sounds like you guys are really happy and doing great! :)
ReplyDeleteOh you are cute. You can tell you're newlyweds if you celebrate an anniversary most people don't even think of...and at the same time..one that doesn't exist! Keep that kind of crap up and you'll be the happiest couple ever.
